Bilateral TKR Day 6 post bilateral TKR

Hi everyone! Went to physical therapy and my legs are two degrees past 0 when straight and 130 degrees bending back. So, they released me from going anymore ~ at 11 weeks. Just have to continue with Mr stretches and come back if there's any problems. Feeling very lucky of all I've accomplished...

Yes, Susie Shoes ... no pain and I had a 1 incline. It's so nice no swelling, scars are soft and pliable. I feel like a new woman! Freya

My mum had bad shoulders and knees. So far my shoulders are great. Hips seem ok too. Please god that they stay that way.

I just turned 59, so I'd be in my 90's. I simply will have to be in a wheelchair as I can't face it again. That's why I had both done at once. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't go back the second time. Lol

Well, I'd say you're doing great for only a month post op. Don't be too hard on yourself. (I get told that all the time) Freya

Drat I feel your pain. I plan on being dead before I ever do it again, so they better last 30 years. I'm not sure I could do it again. It's been quite a journey. Freya

Bilateral TKR Day 6 post bilateral TKR

Well my surgeon used stitches down deep, then he glued the incision shut with some type of crazy glue, and then put that tape over it. I'm glad he didn't use staples. Are you rubbing your incisions with VitE? I watched a blurb on YouTube and they said you should rub your incisions the opposite...

Ok here is one that would upload this one is one week post op. The green around my ankle isn't bruising it's some kind of antiseptic the surgeon used. Freya

Thanks Pheebs! They've pretty much looked like that since 2 weeks after surgery. Perhaps a bit more swollen compared to now. I've tried to upload a picture that was two days after surgery but it's apparently too large for the server. Freya

Thank you all for your kind words. And yes Pheebs it's okay to be a bit jealous. I laughed when I read your post. The only thing that I can say is that the 7 weeks thus far have not been a walk in the park; but I've been blessed with good genes, and frankly sheer focused determination. I have...

Yes, Alaska it is nice. I have numbness about the size of my hand down/around my outer aspect of my right knee; but that's it. It's strange to shave it and not feel anything when I do. I'm doing everything on my own as well. I am still going to physical therapy 2x a week and have about 128...

Bilateral TKR Day 6 post bilateral TKR

Hi everyone! Still recovering well, doing my exercises, and going to physical therapy. There is one weird seemingly side effect that I've noticed. I can't seem to get my internal thermostat regulated. I'm through menopause, so it's not about that. I have NEVER been "too cold", I've always been...
