    TKR Stairs

Quick question.... I have read in several places that it is recommended that you do not life anything heavier then 20 lbs after TKR....Is that forever? Means I can’t take out the garbage or pick up my 2 year old great grandson.... Comments....?

TKR Scar Tissue 1 year out...Stiff Knee

I am humbled by your 30-40 miles bike rides. My LTKR 1 day before yours. Just got back on my bike but only doing a leisurely 10 miles ( felt dang good to be riding again) and pickleball 3 days a week. Best of luck with your stiff knee.....

    TKR Stairs

Quick question..... After 5 months do I have too be concerned about my implant. I think we all have nightmares about the implant “ imploding”. Is the implant now secure and it’s just the soft tissue that is healing.? Played some ”light” pickleball for about an hour and survived. No pain...

5 months post LTKR..... My knee is swelling at end of day. No pain ... Should I just power thru my daily 2 walk or let my knee rest a bit?

    TKR Stairs

Quick question: I am 5 weeks post LTKR...... riding stationary bike 20 minutes and normal stretching exercises ( quad sets, leg raises etc). Knee is swelling up at end of day and marking my 2 mile walk challenging. No pain to speak of. Should I discontinue my daily walk until the...

    TKR I need some advice.

I had help for two weeks. It was a bit of a struggle after that but I made it. We are all different. You probably need emotional as well as physical support. Do you belong to a church.?

TKR Knee replacement post op issues

Please do not obsess about PT. I did the same thing. When and if I do my next knee I will skip PT. You will be fine on your own. This will get better soon. Listen to the advise on this site.

    TKR Stairs

Quick question..... 17 weeks post LTKR.... Walking 2 miles and riding indoor bike 30 minutes. Almost no pain. Today tried shooting pool with my brother for 30 minutes and got COMPLETELY EXHAUSTED . I am thinking it was because of a new activity and perhaps using knee differently, Surely...

TKR Summer2020 recovery thread (RTKR 1/13/20)

My two cents: PT often does more harm than good. It is your knee. No one should be pushing on it or causing you pain. PT is completely oversold in this country for TKR. After my surgery I was just handed off to PT with no advice or counseling from my OS or my PA. When I have the courage...

    Bilateral TKR Going forward

“Less is more”...... my favorite... you are doing great. I suspect an advisor will be along to suggest you not use the treadmill.... Too much bounce for your new knee. My routine is gentle stretching, recumbent bike and a 2 mile walk. Still icing once a day. This is an journey for...
