Bilateral TKR Bilateral TKR - 18 days PO

Hi TW50, I had a BTKR on September 24th. I think you're doing very well with that ROM. Mine are 120 and 106 - over 2 months P0. In fact my knees are still quite stiff with swelling and I still have low level pain. I only used the walker in hospital, where I spent 4 days. I still use two crutches...

    TKR Back to work

@UKFrenchie Hi Sam, I think you’re doing very well to be out shopping so soon after your operation. May I ask are you using crutches? I can walk without them, but I was surprised to learn that they actually help me not to limp - they keep me straighter! I had a BTKR on Sept 24th.

TKR I think I have pes anserine bursitis. Is it OK to do modified zumba?

Hi Folks, Great to hear from fellow Sapphires! I'm just starting week 7 post BTKR. Not completely sure but I think my right knee is about 120 and my left one a bit less. I walk with two crutches for 20 mins every day. My walking is not great - you'd know there was something wrong with me! I...

    Bilateral TKR Bilateral knees

@Jane66 Same here! Meeting my surgeon at 11.30 Tues. Why are you nervous? You’re making great progress - I wouldn’t be able to squat. My left knee is lagging behind - smaller ROM and stiffer. Best of luck on Tues and hope your nights improve

    Bilateral TKR Bilateral knees

@Jane66 Hi. I had a bilateral on the 24th Sept so there isn’t much between us! I use ice through the night as well. I think recovery depends on reducing / eliminating the swelling thus allowing greater ROM. It’s a long road - hang in there it has to improve soon

Knee Infection* Infection at 7 Months Post Op - Back to Crutches

That’s great! Bit too soon for me to get behind the wheel so! Doesn’t realy matter as we’re locked down anyway.

Knee Infection* Infection at 7 Months Post Op - Back to Crutches

Good idea @Mrs. Ciz - my physio has given me unlimited access to his gym which incudes a static bike. I raise the saddle and do 15 mins three times a week. When did you start driving? I haven’t started yet. Went back to work yesterday- from home. The country is locked down, which helps me...

Knee Infection* Infection at 7 Months Post Op - Back to Crutches

@Mrs.Ciz well done on the stairs! I had BTKR on Sept 24. Have you noticed one knee revovering better than the other? I have 98 ROM in the left and 106 in the right. Right knee bends smoothly and straight but the left goes to the side and it clicks a bit! @Roy Gardiner can you remember anything...

TKR I think I have pes anserine bursitis. Is it OK to do modified zumba?

Hi ihavetwins I had BTKR on Sept 24th so I’m just beginning week 4. I went for my second physio session last night and enjoyed 10 mins on a static bicycle. I also practiced stepping up and down and got some massage on the knees. There’s no doubt it’s been a rough ride - nights particularly bad...

    Bilateral TKR BTKR

Oregon mom you paint a nice picture of Oregon this time of year. Not that I’ve ever been - couple of trips to NY the closest I’ve come! Same story in Ireland blue skies and leaves changing colour. The tourniqet sore but at least we know what caused the damage and that it will improve. I’ve great...
