    TKR Update

Here I am almost 3 weeks out and I can't control swelling. I can't take NSAIDS which makes it difficult. I ice, elevate and wear TED hose but any sort of activity makes me swell. I am very interested in the targeted Cryo therapy. I have not asked my doctor about it. I am curious has anyone...

    Afraid of it all!!!

@Irish471 Thank you for your kind words and I am sorry about the hematoma! I have been on a therapeutic dose of Eliquis for about a month and a half to try and prevent a blood clot. After the surgery I will be on Warfarin for a couple of months. The injured ankle is the left, same as my knee. I...

    TKA and Tricare Prime

I had Tricare Prime and realized what a pain it is. I knew I didn't want to constantly have to "fight" for everything so I switched to Tricare Select. My husband is active duty and the deductible is $1000.00 but it is so nice to not have to be on the phone all the time going back and forth...

I have Factor V Leiden a clotting disorder. I am recovering from a torn achilles and pereneal tendons. I have...
