    I also have several plates and screws because I also fractured my pelvis in the accident. He said a total hip replacement and he might take some plates out also since I’ve been having some back pain also. He told me that I would have a larger incision this time too.

    I had my first hip replacement 14 years ago, due to a car accident. I was 30. I am having this one taken out and a new one put in on August 29th. Any information on recovery time for second time around would be helpful. Thank you
