    I didn't mention it to him because I figured it was because of my bad hip. It was only through reading at this forum today that I've learned people are having an issue witht heir leg getting shorter.

    My bad hip is actually and inch shorter and has been for decades. I'm hoping it doesn't get shorter after surgery. I'm going to make sure to let my doctor know before surgery tomorrow.

    2014 October Feisties - Are you having hip surgery in October?

    Tomorrow's my day and I just found this forum yesterday which is a good sign! I never knew about "lead leg." Now, when I wake up and feel that heaviness in my leg, I'll know it's normal and I'll make sure to get up and around ASAP so I can get on the road to recovery. I'm scared to death...

    I'll be having my first total left hip replacement on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at 12:30pm.
