Doctor vs Hospital

While looking for the best surgeon for TKR surgery I didn't think nearly as much about the hospital. How much weight do I put on Dr vs Hospital, and what is the best site to evaluate hospitals in my area. I have narrowed the search to 2 orthopedics in the area but each operates at a different facility. Th Dr I like the most seems to have a mediocre hospital, while my second choice for Dr works for at a more highly regarded hospital.

Go and visit the hospitals. Ask patients what they feel about them. Do patients look well cared for? Are they happy with the care they're receiving?

I agree with Celle, get a feel for the place. You will know when you walk into the area. Are staff friendly, patients happy and active?

Also ask the nurses about the doctors. They know who is the best.
