Surgery was a week ago. 4 days in hospital. I have my pic line and use a vancomyacin ez pump twice a day. Dilauded and gabapenton for pain. I can walk around using a walker, but that's about it right now. Pretty intense pain after about 4pm in the day. Up until then, its tolerable. My knee...

    Knee Infection* Revision

Thank you all. Scared, nervous but gotta be done. I start PT the week after, but I doubt it will be mucg. I have heard that walking on this antibiotic block with be limited. But I do have to take stringent care of myself and the picc line too. All prayers are very gratefully accepted.

    Knee Infection* Revision

August 22. Two stage knee revision. Can't say I'm not scared. PT starts the week after, but I don't think it will amount to much as I've heard that walking on the antibiotic block will be quite limiting. We shall see. Good luck to us all!

    Revision TKR Potential Knee revision

Same thing! My knee never felt right, and all my surgeon said was PT! 2 years later I am facing 2 stage surgery for an infection and loosening. I found a Dr who does revisions. I'm due August 22 for surgery. I'm terrified.

So I'm second guessing this whole procedure. What would happen if I did not have surgery? Obviously my body has kept it contained to the knee area for 2 years.

    Knee Infection* Revision

I have my date. August 22. Went for a load of bloodwork and am now confused. Surgeon said my white blood count was over 11000. Today, my blood showed it was in normal range. My SED rate was at 50 which registered high. Wouldn't I have a higher WBC if infected? I've had a 3phase bone scan which...
