    My surgery was Sept. 9. My knee is doing well. I am walking with or without a cane, and, as I live alone, I have household things to do. I am only taking pain meds because of my foot. I had very little pain at all in my knee.

    I have been on Meloxicam for years but had to go off it ten days before surgery. I told the PA, having had prior experience, that when I go off Meloxicam, I can hardly walk. He prescribed Tramadol. By 5 days off Meloxicam, I could hardly walk and was in severe pain, with hot flashes running...
