THR When will I be able to walk unaided?

Hi everyone. I read through my own thread and it made me smile. I was so despairing and I think it's a great idea to evaluate your own progress month by month. I'm great, I'm walking unaided but limping a bit outside. That said I won't be going out much for the foreseeable with this dreadful...

THR When will I be able to walk unaided?

Hi, I'm doing reasonably ok, I've had physio a couple of times and she suggested I try taking a few steps unaided. Well I've been trying at home but my muscles hurt and I look like metal mickey when I walk! I've sacked all exercise for a few days as I'm sore and I'm using one crutch the majority...

THR My story so far. I should be happy..

I had my first hip replacement in 2003, the second on 20/1/20. Back in 2003 I was borderline suicidal because I was absolutely certain my leg was a good few inches too long. I completely threw my toys out of the pram. Guess what? It sorted itself out in the following weeks. I'm 12 days in on the...

THR When will I be able to walk unaided?

It’s ceramic on ceramic, fitted by the same surgeon who has just replaced my other one. Prior to surgery last Monday it was silent now it creaks and you can actually hear it, like a stomach noise! I can feel it catching a bit too but no pain. The physio in hospital said it was because my pelvis...

THR When will I be able to walk unaided?

Hi everyone, I had a LTHR on Monday of this week. I feel awful but what is really worrying me is that I had my right hip replaced in 2003 and since this week's surgery the old hip is squeaking. I'm finding this so hard, I'm sore and I'm overwhelmed.
