Having TKR in left knee on Oct 29,2014. Was scheduled for a Makoplasty until I received my metal allergy test confirming that I am highly reactive to nickel so now my surgeon had to change my surgery using the Oxinium replacement. I cannot have the Makoplasty because they do not use Oxinium so now I am having the TKR instead. Very disappointment was hoping to have the less invasive surgery. So now starting to get anxious about have this surgery. Hoping it won't be too painful and a very long recovery.
