TKR My Knee & Me (A Love/Hate Affair for the Ages)

Thank you @KarriB ! I already feel less stress knowing I'm not the only one to experience something similar. I'll post what my surgeon tells me tomorrow morning.

TKR My Knee & Me (A Love/Hate Affair for the Ages)

I need your help! Yesterday afternoon and all the sudden, my tibia and femur went out of alignment while I was in a normalish sitting position. Had I been standing, I would have fallen to the ground like a stone. There wasn't really any pain, just a sudden, crystal clear awareness that my bones...

TKR My Knee & Me (A Love/Hate Affair for the Ages)

Does BoneSmart.org ever do anything to educate doctors about letting the "knee be the boss"? I know some doctors would be really interested. Others not so much, but wouldn't it be wonderful to help educate healthcare providers on aggregate patient experiences?

TKR My Knee & Me (A Love/Hate Affair for the Ages)

I'm now 5 days post-op and have been chuckling to myself all day about the contradictory instructions re: my pain control I've been receiving. @Arttie Thanks! It certainly couldn't hurt for me to go once an hour. Plus there's the added benefit of it getting me moving around my house.

TKR My Knee & Me (A Love/Hate Affair for the Ages)

My RTKR was performed on Wednesday and I've been home from the hospital for just over 24 hours trying to adjust to my new post op circumstances. So far, everything has proceeded as expected EXCEPT for my urination. Three times in the past two days, I've had a maddeningly strong urge to urinate...

2017 October Feisties - Are you having knee surgery in October?

Less than 24 hours before I go under the knife. Very nervous, but I know every other October Feisty was/is nervous, too. I'm so glad I'm not alone and can share my experiences with others on this forum. It's really made a difference in calming my nerves.
