I'm a 37-year-old mom to an enchanting and precocious four-year-old. I was diagnosed with JRA at the age of twelve. I am scheduled for my first joint replacement on June 3, 2014 for my left knee. I have had five previous surgeries for that knee over the last 20 years, so this is the only thing left. I hope to be able to be a more active mom after this whole thing is finished. I currently take methotrexate and receive Actemra infusions every four weeks, plus a lot of pain medications to help control my RA.
