Wondering if anyone could recommend an os for my knee in Naples, Florida. I need a second opinion. I have called so many surgeons and they say they won’t look at my knee. There has got to be a different surgeon that will give me an honest opinion on my replacement.
Thanks.
@Josephine
#3 yes moderate
#4 that is a plus +.
Sorry for the confusion
#8 yes that is all the exercise I do I walk in the pool to take stress off my tendons and joints.
Is there anything you can recommend? Today I went to the grocery store with my husband. I wasn’t there long. The pain...
@Josephine
1. Pain level 3-4 swelling and stiffness
2. Off pain meds, just tapering valium 4 mg (dr said that helps relieve muscle pain...) liver damage from levaquin so no meds allowed.
3. The middle picture for sure
4. 120-0. That was a month or so ago. About the same. Maybe 120-2? Doesn’t...
@Josephine
Yes, I’ll answer all your questions.
I’m sorry about your relative. Thank God we have the internet now. I figured out what was happening, got to the dr and now am tapering off valium. I was on Ativan for only a month, but tapering will take months and months I don’t ever want to...
Yes, I totally agree. I get stopped all the time by people saying that they didn’t have trouble and they would sue the dr... blah, blah, blah. I came home last night and cried and was up all night looking at infected tkr on google. I sat at a dinner for a few hours last night with my leg down...
My leg is never NOT tight or swollen. I sit with my leg up on the recliner with 2 pillow on it and ice at least 6 times a day and ice through the night in bed.
I see my pcp tomorrow. My op appointment is at the end of the month.
I have several neighbors that had tkr and none of them had...
Haven’t posted in a while.
I’ll be 4 months po soon. My knee still isn’t doing well.
Everyone who sees it says it looks awful.
My tendons are very tight. It is still red, swollen and warm to the touch. If I don’t have it raised with ice, it swells right away.
I walk in the pool daily, but not...
Yes, I was on Neurontin years ago for a while to help with nerve pain. Slowly taper off. It worked for me but only for a short time.
I hate this. I never take drugs. Before the surgery I was lucky if I needed an Aleve once a month. I used the hot tub to relax sore muscles and my knees. Now I’m...
@Josephine
Yes, I’m sure I came off them too fast. I kept trying to lower the amount of pain meds, and would have a bad day and increase. I defeated the purpose of cutting back. I didnt know I was actually getting withdrawal symptoms as I was cutting back, then I’d take the next dose and feel a...
@Josephine

Ugh!!
yesterday I took my last Percocet. I was cutting down to half then quarters. I thought I shouldn’t have any trouble getting off this and the withdrawal symptoms would be minimal.
WRONG!

I forgot to mention. My husband asked my OS why I was having pain in the spot I marked in blue. It is very painful and tender. My OS completely shrugged off his question.
So, I’ll ask here, is it normal to have this? Will it go away? It’s tender to the touch. Even a leg massage (my husband is...
@Jockette
I read most your thread. I’m sorry that you too have not had a “typical” healing process. I hope that at a year, they can find out what is causing your pain. I don’t know Too much about partials, I’m assuming they still use metals. Is that true? If so, did you have a metal allergy...
Thank you, I won’t go in the pool just yet. I’ll definitely wait for the holes to close all the way. I do not want any more issues or problems. Sigh...
I had my appointment with OS. I really don’t like him. His bedside manner is awful. He was happy about my range of motion. Then preceded to lecture me on knowing for future reference what happens to me when I have surgery and what to watch out for, like blood sugar, healing, self care... totally...
