I can relate to the tin man effect. As well as the burning sensation. Lol That's what I experience when I get up in the morning or after sitting in my recliner for a while You would think you would actually feel better resting, but I'm stiff as well.
Thanks for the pep talk. I'm just discouraged I guess. I believe in result enhancements, and have a hard time adjusting to something I cant seem to control. I wanting to get this done then get the right one done and move on, but seems like it's not going to work that way. Just have to accept...
Well haven't been on in a while. While I'd like to say I'm doing great I cant say that. My knee is still numb on left, and if I'm up on it too much it swells. I have been icing again twice a day. It seems like I'm not a lot better off than I was the last time I posted. I'm kind of disappointed...
Well tomorrow is wk 13, thought I'd report in and share thoughts and insights. Far as stiffness not much change since last post. By cutting back on icing sessions to no more than twice a day, it had improved the burning sensation. So I hardly wear ice to bed.
My sleep duration has improved...
Question to you all that are in their 10 to 15 week recovery stage. If you had the annoying numbness and burning sensation did it help to walk more on the knee?
I know if I try to walk more my swelling seems increase, but I just cant keep from thinking that increasing activity will help heal...
Lol not feeling much like a super human I have a constant annoying numbness in my knee along with a frostbite burning sensation. I'm hoping that's a normal feeling. Everyone seems to say so.
You sound like you are doing well. Walking a mile at that stage is great. Mine swells for sure if I...
Movement was never a issue with me. Its always been the annoying numbness and burning sensation that I get. I am sleeping a lot better the last 8 or 9 days.
Well back to report in been 10 weeks on Monday, so going into week 11. Graduated PT on the end of week 8. I still have the same numbness and burning sensation that is annoying and if I over do it some pain and take tramadol when needed. Im hoping this will subside in the future. Still no long...
Thanks, I do have my polar ice machine at work and use it a lot. Icing is something I do a lot of. Question.. can you over Ice? I never ice more than 20 minutes at a time, but I do ice quite often because of pain and swelling. Last night in bed I iced my leg about 3 times. I sleep about an at a...
Hey Barbender, sounds like you been through the wringer man. I feel for you. I definitely would drop this quack and find another. I'm sure someone here will have a recommendation. My doc was a colonel in the Army and goes through a ton of knees and has seen it all in that dept. I feel like he...
I got my LTKR in Feb 11 and I'm planning on the 1st period of November for my TKR so it would interfere least with my business. With that said I must say I dread the thought of going through this again and have joked of employing a swami or Navajo medicine or perhaps a voodoo doctor to psych my...
Thanks guys. I know the long hours are not good, but unfortunately this Is spring break a really busy time for me we are a tourist orientated business. I'm not on my feet all day, but I have a office chair at the cash register although I am up and down helping customers and putting out stock in...
Hey Guys I got my TKR on Feb. 11th. 2019.
