My name is Donna, I live in Perth Western Australia (though I was born in London) and I've been happily married since 1978 We have two sons, the eldest married with twins (a Girl and a Boy)
I work from home, we have an earth-moving business, primarily in the swimming pool industry, I do bookkeeping for another couple of businesses too
I had a fall in February 2014 which led to me having a CT scan and an MRI, which showed the Avascular Necrosis in my Left Hip/Leg and end stage or bone on bone OA (I could have told them I had that, lol) For the 8 years prior to that Xray reports had been showing "Extensive but Moderate OA" that was "Progressing". I was offered an immediate Hip Replacement but managed to have a kidney stone, gallbladder attack and gallbladder removal interrupt my prep.. and I had to get my head around it all and put things in place so I finally went for it in October 2014. The other hip will need replacing in the not too distant future
My sister has OA too and had her right hip replaced in April 2015, with her other hip and a knee to be done too... though both our parents are in their mid eighties and have very little OA - go figure!
