Thank you Mojo333. It has definitely helped me and given me a positive attitude. I hope I can return the favor to others that may be going thru the same situation or any situation for that matter.
Having a great day and hope you so as well!
I am new to the forum as well and have found it be very uplifting in a time when I needed it the most. Wishing you all the best! Remember, staying positive, although sometimes difficult, is the best medication you can have....The forum has helped me with that!!
My Pre-Op went well with most of my questions answered. @clodaghcov gave me some good advice to add to my arsenal as well. It took me awhile to understand that my lifestyle needed some adjustments and that there will be limitations on what I can do but stressing over it just makes it worse...
I hate that you are going thru all this but I do appreciate the feedback from someone who understands my situation. You are a strong person to endure all you have gone thru. My surgeon has told me if I have another infection that I will have to go thru all this again and that the spacer would...
Wow. Thank you so much for this article. I learned a lot and I am glad to say that my current surgeon is already following most of the pre-op preventative measures. It also gave me a lot to think about for post-op preventive measures. I think a few life style changes may be in order...(with my...

What is the post-op...

Thank you so much for this information. I have written down a few questions but it is all so overwhelming. I was wondering if you might suggest a few more questions that might get me some direct answers. I currently have a pre op but it is with one of his PAs. I am going to try and get it...
Thanks Layla. Joining the Forum has made me realize that I need to take my head out of the sand and stop accepting what Im told as if that is all I need to know.

Yes I do and they have been very helpful but seem to avert the question when I ask what is the long term plan. I guess I need to be more aggressive in my discussions
So I had my first surgery in June 2017. Two months later it got infected and I went into Septic Shock. The surgeon did emergency surgery and did a partial hip replacement. I was put on antibiotic infusions for six weeks. Even though I seemed to be getting better I never felt right and always...
