    Introduction and my recovery

Been a bit since I've checked in. Had a family tragedy...my ex sister-in-law died of cancer at age 43 and it's been very difficult for all of us. She has a 6 yr old son and it's been so hard on him. PT has been going well. Had a particularly tough workout today, but it feels good. I am...

post op THR with sleep and restless legs problems

I, too, have RLS and it has been a pretty significant issue since surgery. I also have Periodic Limb Movement Disorder, and found my self inadvertantly kicking alot in my sleep and waking myself up due to the pain. Very frustrating when it takes so long to get comfortable enough to sleep. I...

    5 days after THR operation

My PT told me that even though I may not have noticable swelling, that the tissues are like a sponge. If you look at a sponge from the top...as it gets wetter (inflames) you really don't see alot of change in the size..but it is FULL of fluid. So ice, ice baby....and rest. Sounds like an aweful...

Hi Margaret, Sounds like recovery is going well. It must be a bit frustrating being non weight bearing.....I have been partial weight bearing for 4 weeks and found myself getting frustrated. Seems theres only so much you can do being PWB and I'm anxious for the next step. I imagine it's even...

Thanks Jo...and just want to thank you and everyone else here for .... well, for being here. I am such a control freak and the "not knowing" what I was in for with this surgery was horrible.
