TKA and Tricare Prime

Does anyone have experience using Tricare Prime as their insurance provider for TKR?

I had Tricare Prime and realized what a pain it is. I knew I didn't want to constantly have to "fight" for everything so I switched to Tricare Select. My husband is active duty and the deductible is $1000.00 but it is so nice to not have to be on the phone all the time going back and forth between Tricare and a doctors office. I don't have to wait for referrals to come through. Good luck with your surgery!

Thanks! So far we have not had any hiccups! My OS is retired Army, so his office seems to be pretty well versed in dealing with Tricare Prime. We have a decent amount of Tricare Prime docs in the DFW area, so it hasn't been too bad!
