I'm a 54 year old, right handed accountant who just found out that I have bone on bone arthritis in my right wrist. I broke my radius when I was 11 and had surgery to remove the ulnar styloid process when I was 24. It's been fine since then.

I'm trying to get more information on how much pain relief and use of motion I would have if I decide to undergo a full wrist replacement (NOT fusion). The specialist I saw referenced the Motek replacement. I was hoping someone here might have some information to guide me.

Thank you.

Welcome to BoneSmart, @Lizzyisme.

I did a quick search of our site and did not find any reference to this particular procedure. However, you can find information about other folks who've had wrist surgery here:

@Lizzyisme Welcome to BoneSmart! As you can see from my signature I have been on this forum for quite awhile. I have to say I have not seen any members having a Motek replacement.

I do hope you will keep posting here. We will be interested in following your journey.
