THR Catirrusia's Recovery Thread<<'

Yes, he will.
I am waiting for an exam.
Then the GP will advise me.
Thanks

Hi @Catirrusia
I noticed it's your Three Month Anniversary.
I'd like to wish you a happy one, but I know it's not.
Wishing you comfort today and the relief you deserve soon.

Hello @Catirrusia. I am so sorry for your arduous journey. The pain is agonizing and frustrating. I’m hoping your GP can help and maybe refer you to another OS. I see you are a friend from Canada. Do you have a national Orthopaedic association that you could browse their members in your area? Don’t hesitate to ask any medical friends about an OS. It is amazing the network medical people have. Don’t give up. We’re here for you. Sending positive, healing prayers your way. :praying:

Thank you.
Yes, I will follow your advice.
There is a medical association that I can check and also I stsrted asking friends and family.
Thanks again and I don't feel alone

I think is the psoas muscle that is rubbing against the cup.
Groin pain, not able to lift my leg and in and out the car.
Maybe the piece is not position properly.

Does anybody in the forum have that problem?

I had a CRP and a SR and blood test on April 12 snd 15 and everything was fine.
I had an MRI yesterday and looked at the images this morning but did not unferstand much.
How did your doctor detected infection?

I think is the psoas muscle that is rubbing against the cup.
What makes you think this is the problem?
Usually if there is psoas impingement, it's because the cup is malaligned.
Do you have any xrays you can post for me to inspect?

The x- ray don't show muscle.

As I said before: can't step on my leg without feeling the pulling down on my tigh, can't lift my leg, can't bend

Let's tag @Josephine and see if she can advise based on the photo you posted.
She'll most likely check back because she asked you a question, but now we'll be sure of it.

I see nothing untoward around your acetabulum.

And xrays do sometimes show muscles - it depends how the radiographer has set the resolution.
Look at this one of my knee - both layers of the quads, quads ligament and the patellar ligament can be seen in fine detail!

Ok, but the groin pain is horrible.
It could be that is overhanging at the front.
When you sent a photo to localized the pain, you said that was spoas tendonitis and it feels like that.

I still think it's psoas tendinitis. That's different to me saying I don't see anything untoward on the xray. If there was a psoas impingement, it would be caused by the edge shown in the left hand edge of the cup.

It has been three months of pain.
I want to have a normal life.
I cannot even walk for more than 10 minutes and I still take medication.

If it is psoas tendonitis, does the muscle needs to be released with a small incision?

Thank you.
I am a bit depressed.
Does an MRI show if there is a psoas tendinitis?

How is psoas tendinopathy diagnosed?
A well-trained doctor or other paramedical professional will suspect psoas tendinopathy based on your symptoms and a thorough examination of your hip. Resisted hip flexion and straight leg raise will often reproduce the pain. The diagnosis will often be confirmed by additional tests such as ultrasounds and MRIs. Not all of these tests are required to confirm the diagnosis.

I'm sorry you're depressed. Hopefully your situation is diagnosed soon and a plan put in place to bring you relief.
Wishing you comfort as you move forward.

Not necessarily. Read the article Layla left for you. It explains many options.

I had an MRI and going to see my GF tomorrow.
I have the CD, but don't understand.
How do you get rid of the pain without incision?

I have the CD, but don't understand.
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by CD?
How do you get rid of the pain without incision?
There are far more ways to get resolution of tendinitis than with surgery. There is
time!
cortisone injection
massage including Acupressure massage
stretches
ultrasound therapy
microwave therapy
acupuncture
to name but a few

I had cortisone, did not work.
I had massage did not work.
Stretches are painful.
Sometimes cannot walk.
Scale 1-10, is 9 close to 20.
I am taking tylenol as you told me.
