Well I can only say that if I had a choice I would not be getting it done. I believe the longer that one can waite the better the tach. changes rapidly! I only wish I had more time.......

This is the article that explains how the entire Zimmer recall started. Dr. Larry Dorr is the surgeon that notified all the U.S. surgeons from the AAOS ( American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons) about the failures he was experiencing in Total Hip Replacements using the Zimmer cup. It was NOT resurfacings that were failing but THR's. Just FYI.

My word. I have no idea what kind of cup I have. I will email the OS and ask him what kind (brand) he used. My next surgery is Aug 18. I nearly fear his answer.
I just had this thought: I've been having lower back pain on my right side. I thought it was from walking funny, and it probably is. But that article made me second guess my thoughts.
