A lose implant is most likely a result of poor technique applying the bone cement, the prosthesis is fine. So you should not go back to the same surgeon.
These two ladies have given you very sound advice. I agree---you need to see another OS to get a second opinion, and then find an OS who specializes in TKR revisions.I do agree that before you have more surgery you need to have new eyes look at the knee. A revision specialist is someone who is trained to look at knees and see what could be causing the problems.
Again---excellent information---most people that work together are of the same mindset and tend to think alike and approach issues and concerns in a similar way. You need to find an OS who is in no way connected to the office of the surgeons that you used. You'll need someone who is not connected at all with your current surgeon - not in the same practice, golf club or old boys' network.
It's not easy to discern loosening. One needs to have seen a number of affected xrays to be able to tell which is and which isn't a loosening. He thinks first xray showed periprosthetic lucency around the femoral component but that it had not altered from the earlier xray on 15 August
