No, you're not alone. I was 52 when I had the labral tear surgery that sent my right hip south. Just turned 53 and will have my RTHR surgery Friday. Glad to hear you're doing so well.

Thanks to all of you for the encouragement. I hit a milestone today, down to using one crutch. Still experiencing swelling in the leg, pretty much pain free. Big day next Tuesday, staples are coming out and I think I will loose the ted hose & hopefully the cumadin. I ended up with a Smith & Nephew metal on metal hip, anyone else have one of these?
