Big thanks to you, @leejaa for all the info! Just finished my last "big" hike on this perfect bluebird day. So many feelings; anxiety, grief about giving up nature time and flat-out fear of the unknown. I'm very grateful for all the guidance and support here!

You will not be giving up nature time. Maybe temporarily. But I can confirm you will get back to doing all that you love to do once that hip is healed.

All the best on Thursday! We will be here waiting for your updates.

I have actually regained nature and joy with my joint replacements. They allow me to go hiking around my fields and go bike riding on some rail to trail paths and enjoy it. Recovery is temporary but leads to good things.

I did feel some grief at losing a body part with my first joint replacement but that passed as I regained mobility and ability to enjoy life again.

Best wishes for your upcoming day. Sending some positive vibes your way for your surgery day and peaceful vibes for the days ahead.
