At last, at almost 7 months I finally got to a magic 100 degree ROM at physio today!!!!! I worked it extra hard this morning, starting at going down from a 10 setting on the bike there to a 7. After I finished all the machines and exercising my PT pushed it really hard for me and got to 99. I felt I could go a little more, so she got help from another PT (she was tired after all that pushing, I have big knees you know, my surgeon told me once) and we got it to 100.

I was so elated, I was grinning on the way out and all the way home. Then I tried going down the stairs at home and managed to walk down properly (just about, a little stiffly but did it). I showed my hubby as soon as he came home tonight, he was really pleased for me. He has been pushing my knee for me each evening before bed.

I still want to get to 110 or more, but I am finally in triple figures!!! It feels wonderful. The last time I was this happy was when I got all the way around on the stationary bike in the middle of the night some months back.

Must go now, we are going out for rib night and to see some friends in a band. TTFN. Sue

Well I asked how you were doing over on another thread.
Sue, after all of the post, with all of the frustrations earlier this year, it is so fantastic to hear how well you are doing.
If you get a chance, go back to the Feb/March threads and see how we were all depressed, frustrated, terrified of the dreaded MAU, begging for relief, etc. I remember you talking about how deep the snow was and being cold.
Now look at where we are. I am very proud of you and your accomplishment.
I bet my ribs are better than what you had tonight!!!---had to get a little cocky..I was sounding a little too sensitive.

Thanks Doug, I will go back later, but now I have to go out for those ribs. I know they won't be as good as yours!! I always think of you and your recipes when I hear the word ribs!!

I am so happy for your Sue! Way to go! I know it has seemed like forever--- and I really admire your great attitude all these long months. I hope you are able to keep picking up more degrees so you can have greater function. Hope to hear you are dancing soon!

Thanks Guy's. I really appeciate all your support.Just got back from a great evening out. We had ribs (not as good as Doug's I'm sure), but they were still good, beef, ribs, huge and only a buck a rib tonight!! The band was great too and they asked Kevin to sing a couple of songs with them, which was great as we won't be at Jam Night with them this weekend.

Hope you are still doing OK Marrianne. Are you getting enough help now your hubby has returned to work. Is he away?

Carolyn, how are your two knees and your back doing now? You getting enough rest? Been to the beach lately?

Love and ((((HUGS)))) dear friends. .......Sue

Sue -
The ribs sound delicious as does your night out. Jessi (my 9 year old) and I survived our first afternoon/evening alone and have done ok. The hubby went this lunchtime to head back north. He was hoping to score a bit more time off and return either Wed or Saturday, but when he got up there he found his crew is already 2 guys short and since neither of us are pushy enough I told him to hold off unless it becomes totally necessary. I have most of my rides to PT/OS/Blood draws lined up for these 2 weeks and he stocked the fridge well - I think we will be fine. My sis-in-law's other half went back too this pm - (both boys work same company). He had ben home since June 1 for the birth of their 2nd kiddo - so tonight we are both soloing. At least we have eachother - just 30 minutes apart. I think I can do this. I am crossing my fingers. Thanks for asking!

Marianne,

I was wondering when your hubby would have to leave.
Good Luck to you and Jess.
For about a week my 13 year old daughter was wonderful, she washed dishes, took the dog out. She even saw me getting ready to wash the kitchen floor and asked if she could do it.
I am sure Jess is very sweet and you 2 will be OK.

By the way mine as I said lasted for a week. She was trying to earn as much money as she could as the new I phone was coming out. I just laughed inside (like she really needs that phone or would get it). I just wish she could be so sweet all the time!!
