I sleep on the right-hand side of the bed and that worked two years ago when I had my right hip replaced. Now I'm having my left knee replaced in three weeks. Will I be okay still sleeping on the right side of the bed - for, like, getting in and out of bed or icing the knee? Or should my husband and I switch places for a few weeks?

You are going to need to experiment with this. In most cases members can cope with the existing situation. Just try keeping the same sleeping arrangement and if it doesn't work, switch. As you know, sleep issues are a major part of this recovery anyway. Just keep things simple.

I switched sides at first and found it easier to get the operated leg onto the bed that way.
