Bilateral TKR When (and how) to stop pain meds

"Fidgety and anxious" would definitely fall in the withdrawal catagory. So keep taking your meds regularly but take a smaller dose on a regular basis to wean down (I might've mentioned going to half tabs). A friend called me in having a panic attack because she woke up one and decided she had graduated to needing no meds. It took three days for the w/d to totally kick in. Don't go there!!
 
Thanks. I finally decided -- about 3 a.m. -- to take the Percocet (I was a bit worried that I having taken the 1000 mg of Tylenol that I would be taxing my liver or whatever gets taxed, but I was feeling so bad that I was a bit desperate at that point. That definitely helped--I was able to fall asleep in a relatively short time (didn't really note the time) and slept well after that. I will talk to my doctor, but I think taking smaller doses is the ticket. Boy, that was no fun!
