Was really getting down in the dumps, thinking I was never going to be free from the naggy pain, especially in my knee. Was taking the pain meds twice every day. On Sunday, I spent most of the day in bed with my leg doing its twitches and just being plain aggravating:rant:. Even resorted to twisting myself over onto my belly to try and make it behave itself:hissy:. Hadn't had anywhere near the same problem with the first surgery.
Then yesterday, Monday, woke up ready to kick butt. All the pain and aggravation was gone and I went the whole day without any pain meds. Got dressed in regular clothes instead of jamas, canned (bottled) some peaches and even did some vacuuming. Feet swelled some by the end of the day, but no pain.
Today, Tuesday, still feeling great with no pain:thmb:
Just goes to show, all good things come to those who wait.
Definitely makes the whole process well worth it. Now I can concentrate on making both hips strong and flexible.
And that is something else. Before the surgery, I never really had hips, more of a boyish figure. I now have hips:sct:

Yay Glenys!!! The peaches sound wonderful!! The vacuuming does NOT!! Be careful and just because you'RE DOING WELL......Try not to overdo it!!:sct:
 :pnc:

Well, that's really terrific! Guess you'll soon be hauling those logs again!

Be a while before I get back to hauling, as the right hip was the last one replaced, and it is harder to get the foot up on top of the pedals, and the truck pedals take a ton more pressure to work. Wish I could, however, as one of our drivers just had open heart surgery. What is that....? if it doesn't rain than it pours:pnc:
Am taking it gentle with the canning and vacuuming. Just a little at a time. Hubby got ambitious and went and picked another bushel today. I just left them where he set them, as I do know my limitations. Vacuumed around the living room where most of the traipsing has been, as well as the proverbial dog hair.
Went walking this afternoon, about a quarter mile with no problems. A little tender this evening, but nothing I can't manage. Thrilled to be over the hump:D.
