Welcome to our latest and all September Sapphires!

You are now an Honor Graduate [IMG] from your pre-op days! You've entered the recovery phase of your replacement journey to that place called “Normal”, and you are now eligible to be a [IMG] Recovery Club member.

Pre-op surgery team members are automatically recovery team members. If you were not on the pre-op list, please join your fellow travelers in this month’s post-op club by requesting your name and surgery date be added to the roster.

Being a team member will allow you to share your [IMG] questions, concerns, and experiences; give one another [IMG] support and encouragement; [IMG] vent, whine, and [IMG] shed some tears, if necessary; and have some [IMG] fun and laughs together. (Please do the above in one another’s recovery threads. And if you find your fun and laughs taking over an individual thread, toss them over to the Social Room to keep your recovery thread on target.)
Recovery is a long journey [IMG] made shorter and easier when made with [IMG] fellow travelers. So, start you membership in this special club today by requesting that your name and surgery date be added to the list!

I’m not sure if this is the way to be added to the list, but I just had a right total knee replacement on Sept. 27th.

Hello, and thank you! I am one week out and very, very stiff. The pain is a 2 or 3, but I just can’t get my knee to bend much (my leg does get very straight though!) How typical is this for one week out? Overall, it hasn’t been as bad as I feared, I’m just surprised that my leg feels like a tree trunk now!

I knew it would be painful but as we are told the pain would be taken care of with meds I had no idea how painful, tiring, boring and uncomfortable this would be! Hard to know what to do with myself. My legs ache a lot of the time, sleeping,a thing of the past and I’m over it except of course I don’t have that luxury. Obviously having a bad day and a bit of a rave, sorry all x

I am now 31 days from my September 11th right tkr. I guess I’m doing okay but am frustrated with the inability to get my extension below 3 and the constant throbbing pain on the top of my foot. It was all black and blue, but now only the top part near the toes are. I am impatiently waiting for less pain.

Hi! I’m 4 weeks post op Right total knee replacement and can really relate to @Lfuller and @fertree . I too feel kind of stuck in my recovery although have made big improvements in the past 3 weeks. Just so slow with no real change over past week as far as pain, sleeping difficulty, crankiness. Trying to cut pain meds out but still need 3/day. Ugh
    My surgery was 9/13/18!
    Thanks for this support site!!

Sept 11/18. TKR right knee. Had to have done after 37 yrs wait but right now not sure was worth it. Only 75 flex and still not full extension. Still need meds but so scared will become dependent. Everyone keeps saying things look fine but the alpha-personality in me feels behind
