You are now an Honor Graduate

from your pre-op days! You've entered the recovery phase of your replacement journey to that place called “Normal”, and you are now eligible to be a

Recovery Club member.

Pre-op surgery team members are automatically recovery team members. If you were not on the pre-op list, please join your fellow travelers in this month’s post-op club by requesting your name and surgery date be added to the roster.

Being a team member will allow you to share your

questions, concerns, and experiences; give one another

support and encouragement;

vent, whine, and

shed some tears, if necessary; and have some

fun and laughs together. (Please do the above in one another’s recovery threads. And if you find your fun and laughs taking over an individual thread, toss them over to the Social Room to keep your recovery thread on target.)

Hi! I guess I'm an August hotshot! August 13th was my surgery. Left knee, total replacement. Lucky 13? Coming along fine. Only issue is the hyperextending of the knee. I had been using a sleeve wrap on my leg, and using a cane...but after yesterday's fiasco with walking and almost going down for the count, I wrapped it back with the ace bandage and I'm using the walker. It feels more secure. Not sure if the doctor is going to be pleased. Thank you all for helping with my recovery, I love reading all the posts.

Not sure how this thread works. But please add me to the August hot shots! I had bilateral TKR’s on August 8, 2018, and I’m just convinced that I’m never going to be able to get back to work in sixish weeks. I don’t even know how that’s gonna be possible.
