Recovery Club member.

Pre-op surgery team members are automatically recovery team members. If you were not on the pre-op list, please join your fellow travelers in this month’s post-op club by requesting your name and surgery date be added to the roster.

Being a team member will allow you to share your

support and encouragement;

shed some tears, if necessary; and have some

fun and laughs together
. (Please do the above in one another’s recovery threads. And if you find your fun and laughs taking over an individual thread, toss them over to the Social Room to keep your recovery thread on target.)

Recovery is a long journey

Morning I’m now three and half weeks post op, I’ve been icing my knee and foot which has really helped bring the swelling down, I wanted to find out if anybody has iced the replacement hip joint? Do you think this would help with recovery?

New hip on April 24, so a little over 2 weeks in. Doing...ok.

Would like to be added to the group , had a thr on 4/2/19 and really don't know anyone who has had this done.

Thank you my name is Juanita and I'm 48 , not sure if that's young for the procedure . I'm currently 5 weeks post op and having really bad pain behind my knee and it makes my toes go numb can't even straighten my operative leg , I'm able to walk without any help but it seems like the upper half of my leg is crooked

Maybe @bottomshollow can move your latest post to its own thread. You'll get more responses in the normal threads.

Hello, I would like to be added to the group. I am almost 5 week’s post op. I had my right hip replaced 4/15/2019! Thank You!

Hi, right THR on 12th April 2019. Recovery going well. Off pain meds and crutches. Walking up to a mile most days, without walking aids and spending 10 minutes on an exercise bike, just pedalling gently. Just wish I could sleep.
