Pre-op question, wondering if anyone else has experienced this or not... not even sure it's hip related, but it's the affected leg so it might be related.

Over the past week or so I've felt the sensation of warmth at the back of my leg randomly, it feels as though I'm sitting on a heated car seat (or for people in warmer climates, warm water on my leg)
It's not hot to touch, so I don't think there's any reason to think it's an infection of any sort. As I said, it's random and only lasts for a few seconds at a time, but it's weird, so I thought I'd see if anyone else had experienced it before their surgery.

I've had nothing similar to that.
Is it in the same place each time? It could be anything from a muscle strain to an irritated nerve
If you can, check in your mirror to see of the back of the leg is reddened or swollen.

Can't say I've heard of this before, so let me tag @Josephine to get her comments. I doubt if it's related to your hip, though.

It's most likely just a bit of inflammation is all.
