I would like to hear from other people who woke up with the feeling that they had done nothing for pain on your knee???
I've seen those posts before--I think one by Gringo, but can't find them back.

Beth,
I woke up screaming in pain in recovery with my second knee in March. Was never told what went wrong with it. But I did know that 7 week befor I did not have this problem with my other knee. With my second knee I was doped up as soon as I started my screaming and kept doped up for 2 days. It was so weird I was talking to my Mom (and I knew she was dead). But I still enjoyed talking to her. It was a very strange stay that time.

I did write about this in your other post. I was great with my hip replacement, but woke up in a ton of pain after my back surgery. I told my doc who increased the pca. That did nothing. That evening I was in tears and called a hospital help line and got pain management to come (many hours later) It helped for one nite.
Then my body started protesting, extrememly high bp and on and on. Like you I ended up out of the ortho floor although my surgeon was aware and there morning and evening.
I really had very little relief with lots of percocet and finally (one month later) my primary doc sent me to a pain management doc. Best thing ever. I was prescribed mscontin (morphine) it stays in your system 24 hours. I never felt weird or high and also prescribed enough percocet to keep everything ok.
Call your docs today and get help
