My husband, John is 11 days from TKR and is doing quite well (ups & downs, of course).

It had been suggested previously that a body pillow would be a useful piece of equipment. I bought one today... but we don't know how it should be used. Did use the "search" option, but still don't have an answer. Any one use one?

Thanks Jo! (and Joyce for asking the question!) - a friend gave me one of these when I had my hip replacement, but I could never work out how to use it correctly! I'm getting it out of the cupboard as we speak.......! :)

In some other interesting positions!! :)

LOTS of folks on the forum swear by these pillows, so I think it's an excellent thing to try. Unfortunately I didn't learn about them until I was down the recovery road, but if I ever have another surgery, I'll be .... as Judles puts it...... body surfing!

Just a note on the body pillow. I never used mine for my head, had it lower and kept my foot supported too right down to the toes. Leg wasn't able to bend as well as that either at first. I loved my pillow, sure helped me get some sleep after weeks of no sleep!! Happy dreams zzzzzzzzzzzzz........
