Hi Everyone,
My TKR was Sept. 8 and I just wanted to say that after a couple of months things have been going much better. I finished outpatient therapy a couple weeks ago and am faithfully doing the exercises and bike riding every day. I have no pain and the swelling seems to have stopped. My ROM is increasing gradually though I'm not sure what it is now. My doctor is satisfied and so am I.
I went Christmas shopping and was on my feet a couple hours with no pain and today I washed my car. My knee feels like the unoperated one and I almost can forget I had surgery. The two legs work together now when I walk which hasn't been the case for several years.
About two or three weeks after surgery I felt so discouraged I thought I would never get here! I just wanted to tell those who are still in the early days after surgery that you will be fine one of these days and not beat yourself up if your progress isn't too great. It will come with time.
Thanks for all the great advice from the Bonesmarties.
