two firsts!

First day back at work and first day driving since the surgery (LTHR –six weeks ago tomorrow). Am feeling most pleased with myself as I was not sure I would last the whole day.

I have walked from one end of campus to the other, and back, the “back” bit was a little slow, but I made it. Still on one crutch though, but I can do up to a dozen small steps without one.

That is great Monica. Somehow you will just realize you are walking faster. I remember walking so slow that my family would not take me shopping. Next thing I know i am at the mall with my kids and they are telling me I am walking too fast!
