Two Day Conference

I attended my first big conference since the left TKR surgery. This was a state-wide conference for school librarians and is always very good and very well attended. I was very sore at the end of the first day, Thursday. When I checked the pedometer I had walked six and a quarter miles while going to meeting rooms and looking at the exhibits. Fortunately Friday required less walking, only two and three-quarter miles, but I did have a two hour drive home at the end of the day. I used my cane most of the time. I have found that people will give me more room when I am using the cane. Yesterday, I walked the entire area of Walmart while shopping without using the cane. Things are getting back to normal.

Jeeper that is great to hear. I always wanted to get a pedometer to see how much walkiing actually takes place in a day. Wow that is a lot. Glad you are doing so well.

Jeeper, walking that much after only a couple of months is wonderful! With my knee, I was barely leaving the house at 8 weeks. You're doing great in recovery and things will only get better and better.
