I had a total knee replacement of my left knee on 4/2. I have had athetoid movements on my left side for 39 years since having a stroke which paralyzed my left side. I am having difficulty controlling my pain. Is there anyone else out there with this problem? I seem to have a great deal of pain ans stiffness when I wake up which eases a bit as the day progresses. All the other patients I see in therapy are doing so much better. I'm afraid I'll never recover.
