Having a revision of a right TKR November 5, 2018.
Been having issues with original replacement from the beginning. I kept telling surgeon was not feeling right. It will be 4 years this coming January. Surgeon kept giving me reasons (excuses) on why I was having issues. None of them panned out. One excuse was that he thought I have RA and that is why my knee was hurting. He told me to see a rheumatologist. RA Dr told me I don't have RA and to seek another opinion.
I went to a knee joint specialist and he told my my knee was not stabilized properly, said "it was very jiggly" . So I am having it done. I am 63 and very active so don't want to slow down. Walking seems to aggravate it the most.
My reason for going back to this forum is to see if any one else had these issues . Also concern about recovery. This doctor does not cut the quadriceps so I am hoping that will help in PT and recovery. Any advise and experiences are much appreciated. My first surgery was surgery from hell, and I have had many. Thank you in advance!
