I had one of my worst days yesterday with my hip hurting. I am glad I scheduled my surgery (June 11).

Mark it will be here soon. You made the right decision. We are so very lucky that there is a solution to hip pain.

Im glad you have you date set so you can get on the road to recovery. Take it easy till then. Sounds like you are really tired of it. Good choice then. Post anytime, we are here for ya !!!!Kim

Yes indeed, Judy! Just think how people had to struggle 60 odd years ago! We are certainly reaping the benefits of those last years.

Mark, it'll be here before you know it. Waiting is always the pits.

Waiting is the pits. My surgery is June 9 and I am going for my pre hopsital testing this morning. I had the physical with my primary Dr and they said I would come through this very well. But anyway, I shake when I am nervous and I am shaking now. Can't wait to get this over with. Right now I also need my other hip done but I don't want to go through this again.

You will be fine, but I know what you mean right before surgery I was shaking so bad they gave me lil extra woohoo medicine. hehe. But really I couldnt even control it. Really though, it wasnt bad. First two weeks just take that medicine like you are told dont skip any !!!!!!!! Please let us know how it goes......But you will be fine.......Kim

Kim,,,,what whoo hoo medicine? I need some right now.....have to have a tooth extacted (ugh!!) And my antibiotics on an empty stomach sucks! :)

Haha yes the La La stuff ! Oh No, I hate going to the dentist. Maybe before you take the next one, you can eat something soft (mashed potatoes or something)... Yucky tummy is not fun at all . I dont think you should plant today, just take it easy. YES !!!! Hope you feel better...

jo you are so right. just a few minutes ago i was telling my dh, my mom had her first replacement almost 40 years ago. and had three revisions 8-10 years apart. now with my first june 8th i'm looking at 20 years. that is amazing and it could be alot longer then that. i know the statistics dont say quite that long but the materials are still so new and the tests look good enough to think its possible. i was told to wait till i was 60 or as close as i could get. i've been thru alot trying to do it, just the last 5 years has brought alot of improvements and i cant wait to reap the rewards. it makes the waiting worth it. and mark to know that your close to being without the pain i'm so excited for you. it will make everything so much easier.
