Have just discovered this website and I am so pleased I did! I was feeling pretty isolated & reading all the experiences have made me feel so much better. I am not looking forward to the surgery of course :pnc:, but Tuesday 10th November 2009 (day after op) will be the first day of the rest of my life ( I hope!!!) I cannot wait to feel "normal" again.

Tygger welcome, i'm glad you found us. I just love my new right hip. Your leg will weigh 1,000 pounds after surgery, it is normal. take the pain meds and stool softeners on time and all will get better each day. WE will be here to help in any way too.

Hi Tygger! I love Tiggers! Feisty little fellows! Welcome to the BoneSmart family.

Where are you having your hip done? Which hospital?

Best of good luck to you, Tygger! The countdown to feeling good again has begun!!! Can't wait to hear from you once you're on the other side! :thmb:

Welcome, Tygger!!! You're part of the BoneSmart family now....feel free to ask any question, post a concern, or even come on board to just vent a little if you need to. We'll be here to support you as you wait for your surgery. Then afterwards we'll REALLY be here for you in recovery. This is a great group of caring people who have been where you are and understand EVERYTHING you might be feeling!!

Hi Everybody!

Thanks for your warm welcome. I really appreciate it. Josephine, I am having my left hip done in Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow.
