This may sound really strange

This is probably TMI (too much info) but now my left knee is covered with hair. Just the knee cap area on the left, and down the outer part of my right leg along with the knee cap. AND it is a LOT of fast growing hair.....like a hair forest! LOL!

Just want to say it happened to me, too. I'd never shaved my knees, or not for years -- too bony and bumpy, and they didn't have much hair and it was blonde, so it didn't show. I'm sure they shaved it for the surgery, and I'm convinced it was the shaving that made the hair grow back thicker and blacker and longer. I just looked, and 6 months out, it's fading & thinning.

This may sound strange - and if you want to laugh - please go right ahead - but its bugging me. I had the TKR 12 weeks ago and have been in therapy 3 times/week. Now - I am NOT a hairy person. Never really had to shave my legs very often. I am female, but have never had hair on my knees EVER.....until now - but only on the surgical knee. Is this normal? Could it be from all the massage that all of a sudden the hair is growing? I am 54 yrs old. Any ideas??? Go ahead - laugh!!! :-)

When I was 9 weeks post I noticed hair on my knee also! Like you I am not hairy.
