Let's have a pre op update on how you are?
Aww thanks @schpooko ! Your concern is so sweet!
Before replying here I went over to post op and read your latest posts. What the heck is wrong with your OS???!
You’re right that you shouldn’t have to deal with all this mess.
Aside from that it sounds like so far so good?
Oh. My update LOL
It’s all good. Last 2 nights I had great restful sleep. Good for the body and soul.
Mentally I try to distract my mind when it wanders to the what ifs. You know how that is.
So, it is what it is. Grateful to be able to have the surgery. Grateful to have a great caretaker (hubs). Although the hovering is getting to be a bit much LOL Grateful my wonderful son will be at hospital with us. He can look after hovering hubs
And I’ll probably be a sniveling, nervous wreck come Thursday morning
That’s where we come in!!
That’s awesome! Thanks. You all have been a big help this whole journey.
Happy Anniversary! Beautiful pics!
Thanks! The picture bottom right was taken in Fenwick! (2010)
That’s a great pic! They’re all great memories.
I drove through Fenwick today on my way back. Of course, it’s only 4 blocks away LOL.
We closed up the condo until I can go back. Hoping to be there for New Year’s Eve.
Hello, Beachy. Just wanted to wish you all the best in your TKR on October 11th. I will be thinking of you and hope for you a smooth recovery. Again all the best
Thanks @schpooko ! No turning back now LOL
I hope my recovery is like yours. Hard to believe it’s been a week already.
Hi @beachy piggy backing on @schpooko best wishes. You are so ready for this! Looking forward to reading all about your recovery. I went to my preoperative labs and class yesterday very informative. Thought it would calm me down and it has a bit. The nurses seem very caring. Ugh hope they are still the sAme when I come back! Wishing you a smooth recovery!
Surgery at 10:30 Thursday morning. Woo Hoo.
Only thing left to do is clean up around the apartment a little. I hate when things are out of place.
And switch sides of the bed so I can be close to bathroom.
I ain’t afraid of no stinking TKR!
Thanks for the good wishes!
I’ll be talking with you in a few days. Hope I don’t do oxy induced posting LOL
Best of British Beachy it will be a breeze and you will wonder what all the apprehension was about ,let us know how you are as soon as you can......
Wishing the best for you and for a speedy recovery
Don't worry about that @beachy . I need a good laugh lol so please report!! I often think about what I may say coming out of anesthesia. Lol
When I was working a few years ago I was hospitalized and texted my staff all kinds of loopy stuff. Dilaudid induced.
After being on Bonesmart for so long and watching the surgery (aka Texas Chainsaw Massacre) on YouTube several times I feel like I could do it myself
Good luck to you!! See you on the other side!
