Give all your exercises a rest until your pain settles down. Trying to exercise is just going to upset those painful places still more.So my leg is a 6 , I have to get it flat, and top of my knee is just ripping .
The extreme pain in my thigh is hindering my knee exercises. So much pain. !!
Your PT is telling you wrong. You don't need to really push your knee. Remember what we advised - If it hurts, don't do it. Discomfort is OK. Pain is not.I gotta really push my knee, but not to tears pt said..
This is very true and too many PTs don’t seem to get it.Your knee isn't lazy or unfit - it's wounded and it needs time and gentle treatment, so it can heal.
Your PT is causing you extreme pain. This should not be happening. Don't allow this. He's doing more harm than good. Tell him, "No touching!". Your knee is still a baby and should not be treated this way. All you need to recover is gentle movements, ice, elevation and lots of rest. You are not helping your recovery by allowing anyone, including yourself!, to cause your knee any pain. No pain=more gain!No-no, stop it was excruciating,
Your PT caused you severe pain. It's time to tell him "Hands off my knee." None of what he did is necessary. In fact, I think he is retarding your progress.Right above my knee is so painful, pt was massaging , I said is that scar tissue that feels like it ripping, he said no, it your knee fibers....I said. No-no, stop it was excruciating, .... what.
I advised you before to stop doing therapy and exercises and let your leg settle down. You don't need exercises to recover your knee's function. Just using your leg during the course of your normal daily activities is all exercise for the knee, and it's all your knee needs right now. It's hard doing therapy, because I am guarding and protecting my thigh, that it's tightening. Up so much, I gotta use a cane.
I'm glad you told your PT what you realised, but I think you need to take a break from all PT therapy for a while. In case you're concerned about doing that, read this:I did tell pt yesterday. No, I can't do that, and I didn't do it. I said I can't just hobble in here on a cane and start exercising, I need warmed up, muscle massage, heating pad,. You can't just throw me on machines.
I've learned the hard way we MUST say no if we hope to recover 'properly'. My PT called today to ask if she could come and I politely declined. I'm such a sissy my brain tries to feel guilty but I refuse.Your PT is causing you extreme pain. This should not be happening. Don't allow this. He's doing more harm than good.
