(small background: I HATE cold/cool weather)
I mentioned to my hubby early in the week that I would love to get out of the house on Sat. and go to lunch - enjoy the sunshine before the colder weather heads this way. Been watching the weather all week - looking good. OK, today comes, he knows I've been looking forward to this.... do we go? NO, football instead. He watched football all day, then asked if I wanted to go out to dinner. No thanks, it's dark and cool out there.
Thanks for letting me vent ... I'll just crawl into my chair and lick my wounds now.

Ohhhhh.....I can certainly understand how you feel!!!! No fair!!! Did you at least go sit out in the back yard in the sun??? Hope so. It does make you feel better to get out.

But....on the other hand, your hubby was so wonderful to you while you were in the hospital, he probably deserves a "man day" as a reward. Maybe you can look at it that way and feel better.

And...isn't tomorrow supposed to be great weather again where you live? If so....take no excuses and get Big Boy in the car for a jaunt BEFORE any of the games start. That way he won't be tempted to "just watch the first quarter..."

Don't worry....we here for ALL the venting when things don't go quite so well.

Yes, he's been pretty good, but I think it's getting to him just like it's getting to me! I know part of it is that he has a really hard week coming up at work (he's a judge) - and that is on his mind.
Wonder if I can fold myself into the little car tomorrow, put the top down, and let him drive (that rarely happens, he's afraid he's going to mess up my car!) It may take a few people to get me OUT of the car, but it may just be worth it.
Thanks for letting me vent, going off to do my PT exercises for the night....

OUCH!!!!! Folding yourself in the car.....Beach!!! Hope you enjoy your day!!! Pretzels anyone???? (:)0_...

Hey beach im sorry i know that feeling.........i guess they dont know what those lil things like getting out do wonders for us............you can lick your wounds anytime here you know that............but tell him again that bothered you , you need to get out for sanity along............feel better sweetie

Cabin fever - doncha just hate it!

Okay, Beach....what's the plan for today???? It must NOT be another day of football. Grab hubby and hit the road! He can listen to the games on the radio as the wind blows through your hair with the top down.

Oh lordy, I could have written your post. Making things worse for us is that my 3 year old has had a bad asthma attack this week from the ragweed, and I can't even open the windows of the house, or send him to the park to play! I want to get outside so badly. We stayed in our pajamas all day yesterday watching football and everyone here was grumpy.
I kicked hubby and little one out the door this morning with a list to grocery shop just to get them some fresh air. I have my bedroom window open and a little breeze is blowing on me right now

Hang in there beachbum, the boys are doing their best for us, it is hard on everyone to be cooped up.
This too will pass.

I remember wanting to get out after my hip replacement. Neither my daughter or husband would take me, they said i walked to slow!!!!!! Boy was i mad.

Beachbum, I've been stuck inside for 2 weeks now. Yesterday I begged hubby to take me to the pharmacy, just so that I could get out a bit. I was so happy walking around the store with my cane. The checkout line was soooooooo long, I started getting a bit poopy, I had to come home and take a nap.
Tomorrow my day is full, doctor's visit in AM, PT at 3:30PM

Exciting day at the Pharmacy, Beach!!!!You coulda done better than THAT!!! LOL!!! (:)0)

Hey, it was my first time out, and with just a cane!

WOOHOOO!! Success!!!! He went to church today, so when he got home I was dressed and ready to go ... just muscled him right out the front door (took his car, the 'vert is just too low), and out to lunch we went!!! He didn't have time to think about it, of course, he got "the look" (all you teachers know what I mean!!), so he knew better than argue! Red Lobster, saw several friends, went to the drug store and bought a cane (on to Step 2), and home. I feel much better now!!! ( I just ignored the ' wonder what game is on now' comments, there's always a game on, he'll live! :hehe: ).
I'm planning on heading to my school on Thursday (after blood test at the hospital) to see everyone - so that's one more thing to look forward to.
Thanks all, for the kind words and for just listening. It's so great to have a place where people know what you are going through. Bless you all

Whooo hooo!!!! I could hear the happiness in your post, Beach. I'm glad you made it work for you. No wonder you were pooped, though. That's a LOT of activity for your early stage of recovery. Be careful now, okay?

That's awesome that you were able to go out to eat...Red Lobster...Yummy Yummy!!!!

Much betyter "date" than just the pharmacy! And it'll get better every day!

Amazing how "going out" therapy helps those weepies and pity parties. I am proud of you...you had a plan!:D
