Re: The Story of My Knees

God is so awesome! My testimony went well and it brought tears to my eyes and several others! I have a new lease on life! Pain is leaving and I actually "squatted" and prayed for a lady's knees in church. I am so thankful for all the flexibility I have regained. (I still won't tell Killer Katie though because she is already thinking of adding new exercises for tomorrow.):th_heehee:

Re: The Story of My Knees

How wonderful, Sonja. I'm sure you were a wonderful boost to the people who were with you in church.

Katie is probably going to figure you out anyway, you know....:hysterical:

Re: The Story of My Knees

Thank you Jamie! God has been so wonderful to me, that I must share in the good news. God is going to use me for something wonderful, and I am ready for whatever that is!

Well you know Katie is very intelligent! But I use my "counterintelligence":snork: to keep her on her toes!:hysterical:

Re: The Story of My Knees

Gosh, wish I could have been there. I think personal testimonies are the best thing ever!

Re: The Story of My Knees

Sounds great Sonja, and I think God has already given you something to do on this website, by enduring all the trials you have and continuing to astound everyone with your cheery positive attitude, which makes most of our troubles seem so petty, and encourages all of us to get on with living and stop the pity parties, so long may you continue to be a BS and be there helping others to heal and flourish!:friends::wubroses:

Re: The Story of My Knees

Well Hello Everyone! :yahoo:

I went to PT today and Jamie you were right! Katie had me figured out!:th_heehee: When I went to do squats (which she always supervises because she "thinks" I might cheat:hysterical:) I squatted and my bottom went almost to the floor! She said "oh my goodness you have gained so much in your flexibility since Monday!" That's when I told her about squatting down to pray for the woman in church. She said, "well our exercises are going so well it's time to up the intensity!" She is so funny! Only thing is tomorrow, I will probably see the intensity upped!:wink1:

That's ok though, because my knee is getting stronger all of the time!

I am having the time of my life, and now I can detail my car, or mop the whole kitchen, or just about anything WITHOUT pain!

Life is grand and I have God to thank for it! He is my everything, and none of this would be possible without him!:yahoo:

Re: The Story of My Knees

Thank you so much for the kind words, Aretha!:friends: I want everyone to know there is hope and to never give up!

I have learned so much along the way on my journey, and even though some of the times have been rocky, God has always been there for me! The problem I ran into was I wanted to "solve" all of my problems myself! When I finally turned the problems over to God, my immune system started working again and everything cleared up!
:prayer1:

(I don't know if I have mentioned this but I am a "little" hardheaded! OK, OK, I have said it several times but if you ask my mother, she wouldn't say "a little hardheaded"! She would say I would win a prize!):hysterical:

Re: The Story of My Knees

Hello Everyone!

I had to cancel PT today due to having the flu!:cry4: I'm sorry but I feel miserable right now, so I guess I will go back to bed after another stop by the restroom.

I hope everyone is doing well today! I haven't been this sick in a long time, so I guess I am throwing myself a pity party. :rolleyespink:

I am not eating anything of course, and I want water so bad! I am trying to limit myself to sips of coke instead. I hope my husband will bring home some Gatorade to re balance my electrolytes.

Re: The Story of My Knees

Why not water? It's better than no fluids at all.

Hope you feel better soon.

Re: The Story of My Knees

In another thread Sonja said:

I have actually gotten to where I like the recumbent bike at PT and I go and ride it even on Saturdays!:hate-shocked: Now if you were to have asked me if I wanted to ride a bike on my own before, I would have laughed!:hysterical:

Get hooked Sonja, an incredible life sport from around the corner to Coast to Coast. cycling serves us both aerobically and full body strength.

Try a rail trai, no traffic, no stress. A great place to start riding.

Because it strips you of electrolytes. I have been sipping coke, sipping water, and now my husband brought Gatorade. It is supposed to replace the electrolytes. I was guzzling the water this morning and I paid dearly for it!

Re: The Story of My Knees

When I was a kid, a bike or my feet was my source of transportation. I really enjoyed biking, but I thought my biking days were over due to my knees. Well now, it is a great stress reliever!

Re: The Story of My Knees

Hi Sonja and all you other Bonesmarties, I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. Its Good Friday here in the UK, and everyone has a 4 day holiday with Friday and Easter Monday tacked on. Following that we have a Bank Holiday for the royal wedding on the 29th April, so that's another Friday off followed by our May Bank Holiday on the Monday 2nd May, so everyone here is in good spirits and enjoying two short working weeks and lots of sunshine to boot! Life is good!:yahoo:

Get well soon Sonja!

Re: The Story of My Knees

Gee, Aretha, your banks close for the Royal Wedding? Kate is an 8th cousin of George Washington so I'm surprised that our banks aren't closing also.:th_heehee: What is a "May" Bank Holiday?

Happy Easter to you also Aretha! God has risen and by his sacrifice we can be saved! What an awesome God!:prayer1:

I am feeling better today, the flu is letting up some so I guess it was the 24 hour variety!:yes 4:

Re: The Story of My Knees

Bank Holidays are what you would probably call public holidays?

May bank holiday is May day

Have a great Easter Sonja - you have just go to get better from the flu soon!

Re: The Story of My Knees

Thanks for the explanation Dewy!

Have a Great Easter also!

I am feeling much better today, than I did yesterday!
