THR The sequel of Sequin 1998<

Ugh...why does it feel like my left hip is no longer connected?
This pain is worse than the right. A year ago I was in the same place...I swear, chronic pain is hell on the brain.
6 more weeks.....

Poor sequin.
I have been there and it is horrible.
Chronic pain is wearying and I feel for you.
Glad that there is a solution coming.
Hang in there..I totally sympathize and wish I could tell you something that helps much. Unfortunately I had gotten the same way and didn't have any good remedies.
Prayers while you wait!

How are you doing sequin?
It's been awhile since we've heard from you.
I hope you're not in too much pain and you were able to enjoy the holidays.
Only a little over a month to go now until you gain relief.
Wishing you comfort as you await February 19th.
@sequin98

thank you for the wishes,

My date is Feb 12...no more crunchy feeling when I walk...
Still amazed at how quick the left hip complained after the right was done.
The beauty of bi lateral hip dysplasia....:thud::umm::shrug:

The 12th, okay, we'll need to get that changed in your signature.
Exactly one month from today. I hope time flies for you, sequin.
After the initial recovery biz I'll bet you have a great 2019.
@sequin98

Last one and done...:tada:
Double hippy happy in one month!
Your fan club will be there to cheer you on!:yahoo:

:yahoo: Yahoooooo! Double hippie soon! Hang in there - you will be SO pleased when this is done!

Question- Are my previous restrictions for my right hip over, like way over?

@sequin98 I am cautiously starting to use my first-op hip as a base, with my second-op hip leg out behind me (golfer's reach style) to pick things up off the floor. My hamstrings are quite tight and needing some time to stretch out, from all the lack of downward dog stretches I think.
So in talking with my surgeon here, about my posterior surgeries (not sure if he does something less that average in muscle cutting as he is a younger surgeon and it seems that the procedures are changing all the time), he says my risk is low for dislocation (I don't know why though). He says the highest risk of dislocation for me is within the first three months post op. He said progress on everything slowly and ease into it, particularly like the yoga and pilates. The dislocation risk goes down as we go along.

Absolutely! Just use your common sense and listen to that hip. It will tell you if you try to do something that it's not ready for. Try to have some confidence. That's your "good" hip now.

10 more days with this awful left hip, and then I am free!!
Hoping for the superpath, but with dysplasia, you never know!!

:praying:

Hi @sequin98
I hope then next ten days pass quickly for you.
It's been a long haul. I'm happy you'll soon find relief.
We'll be here rooting for you.
I hope you have a nice Friday!

The final "installment" of the Sequel of Sequin.:yay:
