the final comparison

well i finally have my new hip film. went for my 6 week check up doing fantastic. next hip on the 17th of august. i'm excited and let me tell you about my new hardware. its actually 4 different sections so they changed the entire angle i've been working with for years. os says i can expect my walk to even out after second one because the angle will change and i wont be walking on the inside of my knee. that was very reassuring . it really made me feel better about my video the other day. so here are my pre and post

jo i knew you would appreciate this one. dosent it look wonderful. there was so much work done its hard not to appreciate. i finally got a good pic of the other side so i'll post that one.

this might be a little confusing. in this pic its the right leg. i've always flipped the pics so the right leg was on the right side this time the right is on the left. anyhow this is the other hip that is about to be done. the actual left.

Doctors view xrays as if they are looking at the patient standing in front of them. so we always put them up with the left hip on the right and vice versa! So that xray is the correct way round. And looks almost as nasty as the other onW!

i know when i say i've been truly blessed to walk these last few years i wasnt kidding. its progressed alot in the last year, this is the the hip that has me tell people that it dosent get better only worse, the pain in this hip has been more progressive and steady. but was not as fast as the other and believe me i've always been one to say i can go a little longer, well i'm not going to this time. i've already foung out how bad it can get and i'm looking forward to average i dont need to prove anything anymore. i'm loving how my new hip feels. since the right is healing the left isnt doing much so its not hurting as much but it cant catch my new righ hip in exercise. they tried a different position xray yesterday and i couldnt raise this leg long enough or high enough to get it. but i could raise my new hip. it was a great feeling. this next surgery i'll have the angle restored where the femoral neck has shortened and i will have a new angle to the acetabulum. i'm excited. thanks all yall

thanks jamie, i'm excited. today i was laying on my operated side on my couch, its always been my favorite spot. well my unoperated leg started killing me. ouch. well since i'm not working like before the first surgery sometimes i need it to hurt just to remind me. the right wouldnt even let me stand for a few minutes at a time so it was a no brainer the left wasnt quite as bad, then there was the question about was the left more compensatory pain. so little things like that keep me in focus. my mom really wanted me to wait as long as i could so jo when you tell me what you think of my xrays it makes me feel alot better. she isnt here to ask and since they never looked normal the professional opinion means alot. the reassurance that i've waited like i promised is important to me. love yall
