I am starting back to work tomorrow,(I went one day last week) and my co-worker/boss/friend is about my same size and we both talk about loosing weight, but talk is cheap. It is time to get real and do it. I won't post my weight untill I get down to an acceptable weight, I will however post how many lbs are lost each week!
Goodnight, I need to change my sleeping schedule and we lost an hour of sleep last night!
Luv y'all

Ditto. I have to get some sleep too, falling asleep at the keyboard here, zzzzzzzzz.

Love and hugs!!

I think Weight Watchers is a fantastic way to go! I lost 25 lbs on it, stabilized after gaining about 5 of that back. For treats, have you found/tried any of the Skinny Cow ice cream goodies? They are so good, and so low in points. Wish I had one now.

One of my favorite recipes (do you like chicken?) is with boneless/skinless chicken breasts. Cut up onions, red and green bell peppers, spread over non-fat cooking spray in a baking dish. Put the chicken on the veggies. Cover with peach mango salsa and bake 375 (length depends on how many pieces). Serve with rice. sprinkle low fat cheddar and more salsa. My whole family likes it.

We'll help you stay on track Patti!

Susie,I bet we spent a thousand dollars on Skinny Cow goodies last year. Not only do we love them but my big football playing son loves them too.

The chicken dish sounds yummy. I'll try it. Actually, I need to firm up more than anything. I've been dormant for so long. 2008 is our year, people!! yippee...

Hey Gang! How did your first diet day go??? I ate my usual 4 point breakfast...lt. yogurt and toasted english muffin. I had a three point turkey sandwich for lunch with double-fiber wheat bread (2 slices+1point!)...and apple for afternoon snack and some chicken, peas and stewed potatoes for supper. I still have a couple of points for late night....

If you can find "Olivio" olive oil spray or the "butterlike" version in a tub, BUY it....it's SOOOOOO good. I can only find it at Lowe's foods in our area.

Can't wait to hear how everyone did....hope you didn't forget to weigh in this morning!

I'll catch up with everyone online later tonight.

Patti,
Your weight loss plan sounds great. I am a WW lifetime member and hover around my goal weight =/- most of the time. Could stand to lose a few more, but getting back to work usually does that for me.

BUT BE WARNED! If you and your husband follow the exact same WW plan, get the same exercise, eat the same food, etc. HE will lose weight faster than you and win that pot of money time after time! It is SUCH a bummer!

Saw it happen over and over and over at WW. Men have a higher metabolic level and lose faster.

Good luck and drink your water and eats lots of fiber!

My hubbie always goes on WW with me. This past time, I blew his #'s out of the water!! He has it MADE...I have to plan, count, prepare....he just eats!

(Gat - you PERV)

Some (many) years ago I lost nearly 100lbs on the WW plan. Never went to the meetings for, as a busy theatre sister, couldn't spare the time so did it all on my own. Took me 18 months!!

Sadly it all went back on again plus a few extra lbs for the pot!!

Now I'd give an arm and a leg (HAH!!) to loose half that much again! I currently use broken link removed: https://www.nutracheck.co.uk/process.jsp?section=diary&action= website which I fine very convenient. Keeps me on track anyway - when I am using it!!

I had a good day, Patti. Yogurt for breakfast, salad with some chicken on it for lunch, lean beef and veggies for dinner. Couple malted milk easter eggs. My challenge are the days I work from home and snacks are so close by. Pray for me tomorrow!!

I lost about 30 lbs in the year between having arthroscopic surgery on my knee and having my TKR. Since the TKR in October, I have lost about another 15 lbs. I tried WW years ago and could not abide having to write everything down, weigh in, etc. Too darned independent for that sort of thing.

The key to my 45 lb weight loss has been nutrition. I just make sure I eat plenty of foods that give me lots of nutrition and avoid foods that are nothing but empty calories. I have no rules, no restrictions, no program, no diet, just a strong desire to be healthier and a commitment to continuing to learn about what's good for me and what isn't.

Sue

I'm having an achy knee day.....woke up with it in a bind...My husband is sick of me typing on the computer until 3am so he crammed two "simply sleep" tablets down my throat last night....I must have really slept hard - woke up with my knee in a position that I would NEVER have it....aching to the point of tears....SOOOOOO..boys and girls...I'm at work with a full dose of percs raging through my system....

all i can say is good luck with trying to figure out the accounting mistakes that i'll make today.....

and i'm about as chatty as i can possibly be which is BAD because I never stop talking ANYWAY.....

my boss looks at me funny

speaking of boss...better cut out of here...

ciao pals and pervs

I was wondering where you were last night. Figures, I missed out on the night before when I went out early then you get the sleepies last night...My knee is aching like crazy. Another front coming. I asked the Dr. about it yesterday and he responded that he believed me but nothing to be done about it. So.....he gave me a prescription for 50 more pills. I took two and am sitting here goofing off. So------you need to goof off more!!! I know, I'm a bad influence but my monkey likes you.

I know she doesn't need a whole lot of prompting does she.

Strange how we, complete strangers are going through the EXACT same things. We are all ages, shapes, colors, men and woman yet we feel the same way. I had a horrible night lastnight too. So I am with you guys. I just could not get comfy. Took a sleeping pill and NADA and I have been sleeping pretty good the past couple of evenings so it drove me nutts to be awake. The Discovery Channel until 5am. Atleast I learned something.

And yes Jo I am engaged to the most beautiful person in the world. We actually met over the internet a litte over 2 years ago (2-12-06), we lived about 2 miles from each other and I can not imagine having a more WONDERFUL person in my life. The care and love that she has she showed me going through this procedure made my heart beat in ways I could never have imagined it beating. We have been engaged since Oct and will marry May 17, 2009 (which is why I emailed you asking to change my member name to Nuneez517 not 519). I goofed, must of been the Perc's...Anyway that is why one of the first Threads I had posted was, Do you think you can dance after 1 year? Because we are having a beautiful wedding all I want to do is take dance lessons so that me and my bride can dance the night away...And I know that with guidance from this great website, I will be a dancing fool....
